Sally and Andrew’s Elopement Wedding in York

As a North Yorkshire wedding photographer, I absolutely love capturing intimate celebrations and Sally and Andrew’s beautiful elopement in York was truly special.

This lovely couple from Scarborough chose to elope to York on Guy Fawkes night, creating a magical backdrop of autumnal light, historic streets and a sense of excitement in the air. After weeks of planning and excited messages, their wedding day finally arrived and it was filled with love, laughter and unforgettable moments.

We met at York Registry Office for their relaxed and intimate ceremony. In true elopement style, it was simple, meaningful and full of emotion. I even had the honour of acting as one of their witnesses - something that I’m always delighted to do for my couples planning a small wedding or elopement in York or elsewhere in North Yorkshire.

After the ceremony, we stepped out into the heart of York to explore the city’s iconic cobbled streets and historic surroundings. The newlyweds were absolutely glowing, and their happiness was contagious. As we wandered through the city centre, countless passers-by stopped to offer their congralutions and compliments.
